Unsichtbare Skulpturen / 2015
The photographic series documents the 13 invisible sculptures crafted by Daniel Djamo during his stay in Plüschow, that were erected in the area around the castle. The works are on permanent imaginary display at Schloss Plüschow, Mecklenburgisches Künstlerhaus, Am Park 6, 23936 Plüschow, Germany.
Crafted as an open-air exhibition, "unsichtbare skulpturen" presented the 13 imagined sculptures of Daniel Djamo, developed during his residency at Schloss Plüschow. The partially upgraded past of a constantly degraded "now" induces a fabricated story of the world, that offers new understandings and renews symbols.
Meaning is given by a postal office that deals with (re)packaging of words and translations of different worlds, that became in time lost from our own, and can only be found through the individual's desire to abuse his space, through a surgical intervention upon what is perceived as reality, while being in parallel perversely manipulated (or simply directed) by the artist.
Djamo challenges the viewer to a game of representation, while distracting him at the same time, with stories that seem pointless and phonically disturbing.
