ugly kinematics \ 2010-2011
This is a reflection of the outer shell of change in a post-communist and Balkanic country like Romania. Everything we once knew isn’t there anymore – we are changing the aspect of our cultural heritage as quickly and often as we change our roads and kerbs.
Nothing is there to last – the only thing that remains constant is a prefabricated scent. We are presented with an ever-changing landscape, on which we can only find “ghosts” of the previous landscapes, who managed to escape the “killings”.
“ugly kinematics” tries to extract the “ghosts” that manage to survive Romania’s constant “carnage” of the shells, the renewal that we run towards, without ever having pointed a direction.
